In my time, premarital or extramarital sex was
Wrong
Difficult to avoid, but
Positive to avoid
Today, it seems to be
Normal
Impossible to avoid, and even
Negative to avoid
I give this old-timers view above to make a point about the "Abortion Issue". Why do the proponents of legalized abortion always start at the point past conception. They take it for granted that premarital and extramarital sex is 'normal' or 'impossible to avoid' or even 'negative to avoid'.
They make the point that the women must have the right and the ability to choose. Of course, they are talking after conception. I suppose they think the woman didn't have a right or the ability to choose before the act; rape not withstanding. It is assumed the urge or need to have sex must be greater than some people could overcome.
Hopefully, our children are being taught that the decision to have unprotected intercourse is a decision to conceive a child. The woman and the man have made that decision; they have used their ability to choose. It is the bed they chose to sleep in. The deed is done. The time for choosing is past.
What do you think?
