I've seen two great shows about airplanes, recently.  One is Top Gun Maverick  and the other is a YouTube video by retired Air Force pilot named Brian Shul.  He has a great personal story which leads us to the story of the SR-71 Blackbird.  You'll see that plane at the beginning of TGM.  It is was a stealth, hypersonic spy plane that could fly as high as 100,000' and reach speeds above Mach 3 (three times the speed of sound).  It was once very classified but now retired.  I suggest you see both the movie and the video.
