This page will take a different slant this week. Instead of quoting a famous historical figure, I will quote NASA, the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration. This organization was established in 1958. In 1961, President John F Kennedy, in a speech before Congress, proposed that we set the goal of putting a man on the moon before the end of the decade and returning him safely to Earth. That goal was met. But, it has now been fifty years since we were there. (It's mysterious to think why we have not returned.) NASA is now beginning the Artemis program - projecting another lunar landing. Here are some quotes from the agency.
Our vision: "To improve life here. To extend life to there. To find life beyond."
Our mission: "To understand and protect our home planet. To explore the universe and search for life. To inspire the next generation of explorers."
