RANDOM MUSINGS FROM THE TOP OF THE HILL

HERE'S WHAT I THINK

This mess with the raid on Donald Trump's estate in Florida is ugly.  It looks like it could have been avoided by both parties.  Now we are saddled with untold weeks of political and legal maneuvering.    It seems clear that Trump or his law team have lied about what he had.  As I see it, Trump has backed himself into a corner which there is no way out.  His ego may have finally done him in.

The fact that the Justice Department and the FBI are acting politically, which they should not, has no standing in the actual case.  Wrong is wrong even if the 'cops' have a twisted motivation.

The fact that the Justice Department and the FBI were forced to delve into similar territory with regard to Hillary Clinton's use of her personal computer system and they completely ignored what she did with sensitive documents is irrelevant.  Two wrongs don't make a right.

Trump's opponents are intent on keeping him from running for President in 2024.  I don't think this will work - a man once ran for President of the United States from prison and one million people voted for him.  That year was 1920 and the man was Eugene V. Debs; a socialist party candidate.
