Here is a tidbit for my family. On my wife's birth certificate, I find that her father was a 30 year-old woodcarver for Baldwin Piano Company at the time of her birth. Some of you may be reminded of the beautiful crucifix he carved which is still in the family's possession. He also carved elaborate frames for his artwork, one of which, we have. He was a very artistically talented individual.
