Is your dad's drink a pop pop?   You may call it "pop", others call it "soda", some just say "soft drink"; well, where I grew up, is was called "coke" no matter the brand or flavor.  

Is Mr. Pibb still alive?   I think he was sick and went to see the Doctor.  He lost that battle. 

The Coca-Cola Company fashioned a drink they called Mr. Pibb in 1972 to compete with Dr. Pepper.  Coke wanted to call their drink Peppo but the courts wouldn't allow that.  They hung with Mr. Pibb until 2001 when they threw some cinnamon into their recipe and started calling it Mr. Pibb Extra.  Its available where Coke products are sold - they say it tastes just like Dr. Pepper.  Of course, Pepsi says it tastes just like Coke.
