There is a distant star (sun) called "55 Cancri a" which was discovered quite a while ago. In 2004, one of it's planets was discovered. It is called "55 Cancri e." In the last 16 years it has been studied extensively. It is almost 8 times the mass of Earth and twice as large. It is so close to it's sun that it doesn't rotate (tidal locked). Astronomers are pretty sure it is made up mostly of a carbon material. Carbon, heated very hot by it's nearby sun and under the pressure of it's atmosphere, makes diamonds. It is a diamond planet.
Most venomous snakes strike from a coiled position. They can usually strike to a distance of half their body length.
