Did you ever say to a child who had fallen and is about to cry, "Do you have a boo-boo?"  Have you put band-aids over boo-boos?    A boo-boo is a bruise or scratch.  Sometimes we call small mistakes; boo-boos.  Such baby talk!   The gurus; Merriam and Webster think it is probably a take-off of a baby's cry, boohoo.  Not me!  During the period of the 'black death' or 'bubonic plague', it was common to find on afflicted people a swelling of a lymph node called a bubo.  That was mid-14th century.  It was a real pandemic.  As many as 200,000,000 people died from it in four years.  That's a lot.  It leaves an impression on the survivors.  They never forgot what buboes looked like.  (What will we remember?)

The Hubble space telescope that orbits the Earth and spies on the rest of the universe is just about the size of a school bus.

Got nothing to do?  Hop on YouTube and search for "Thoughty 2".  Be careful, you might learn something.

If you hit your golf ball onto a pile of dung on the golf course, you can either play it as it lies or declare it unplayable and get a free drop.  If your ball is imbedded in or stuck to the manure, too bad, there is no free relief.  If your ball lands behind the pile of dung, you can move the dung since it is not embedded in the ground and is considered a loose impediment.

"60 Minutes" is the only show on TV that does not have a theme song.  Tic, tic, tic, tic, tic, etc.
